Vessel Management Plans now available

The Australian National Maritime Museum has made available a series of Vessel Management Plans (VMPs), accesible via the VMP page on this website.

Some of the VMPs available on the AMMC website.

A VMP contains essential information about a heritage vessel such as its conservation needs, operational requirements, history and provenance and interpretation planning. These documents are useful for maritime museums and other heritage organisations who want to develop a routine for vessel care, demonstrate forward planning to stakeholders, and make formal record of their vessel’s historic significance.

VMPs available on the AMMC website include examples for vessels of different sizes and types including Couta Boats, fishing vessels, pilot boats, warships, and submarines. A template is also available for those wishing to create their own.
